Tips:

  • Smoky Flavor: For the authentic smoky flavor, roasting the corn directly on an open flame (like on a stove or outdoor grill) is key.
  • Spice Variations: Adjust the spice levels according to your taste. You can use garam masala, chili powder, or even black pepper for different variations.
  • Vegan Option: Skip the butter and use olive oil or vegan butter to make this recipe vegan-friendly.
  • Cheesy Bhutta: For a cheesy version, sprinkle some cheese immediately after grilling while the corn is still hot to melt the cheese into the corn.
  • Toppings: You can also drizzle some tahini or yogurt for a creamy variation or serve with a side of mint chutney.

Health Benefits:

  • Corn: Corn is a great source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals like B vitamins, folate, and magnesium. It also provides antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin, which are good for eye health.
  • Lemon: The addition of lemon juice provides a healthy dose of vitamin C, which boosts immunity and promotes healthy skin.
  • Cumin: Cumin powder aids in digestion and has anti-inflammatory properties.
