But once you try these homemade potato cheese balls you will never go back to readymade ones.

Ingredients
- 1 Rice Boiled
- 1 Potato Boiled and Mashed
- 1/4 cup Bread crumbs
- 1/2 tbsp Red chilli powder
- 1/2 tbsp Garam masala
- 1 slice Cheese
- 5 tbsp Corn flour
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- Water as needed
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
For Grinding Ingredients (Green Chutney)
- Onion chopped
- 1 tbsp Green chilli
- 1/2 tbsp Ginger chopped
- 2 Coriander leaves springs
- 1/2 tbsp Salt
Instructions

In a bowl add boiled rice, mashed potato, ground green chutney, garam masala, red chilli powder, bread crumbs, corn flour & salt mix well

Then add lemon juice mix well, make the soft dough. Keep it in the refrigerator for 25 minutes to avoid stickiness.

Make lemon size ball out of the mixture.

Depress the center of the ball and fill cheese & make ball again by closing all the edges

In a bowl add corn flour, water, & salt mix well

Dip each ball in the corn flour mixture & roll it in breadcrumbs.

Make sure all the sides are coated with breadcrumbs equally.

Heat enough oil in a pan then put prepared balls & deep fry till crisp & golden brown on medium hot oil.

Once its ready remove from oil, drain on absorbent paper.

Serve hot with tomato sauce, chilli sauce or green chutney
Tips:
- Cheese: If you prefer a cheesier center, use a string cheese or a cheese with a good melting quality like mozzarella. You can also mix different types of cheese like cheddar or cream cheese for added flavor.
- Binding: If the mixture feels too soft, you can add more breadcrumbs or flour until it is easy to shape into balls. Alternatively, you can refrigerate the mixture for 15-20 minutes to firm it up before shaping.
- Baking Option: If you prefer a healthier version, you can bake the rice balls. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- Spice Level: Adjust the amount of green chilies and chili powder according to your spice preference.
- Leftover Rice: This recipe is perfect for using up leftover rice. Cold rice holds together better and prevents the balls from becoming mushy.
