Ingredients

  • 4 slice white firm bread
  • 3 medium potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
  • 2 tbsp corinder finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp green chili finely chopped
  • ½ tbsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tbsp salt
  • ½ tbsp mango power
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 slice cheddar cheese
  • 8 tomato thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix potatoes, corinder, ginger, green chili, salt, cumin seeds, and mango powder well.

  2. Lightly butter the bread slices from one side and other side spread layer of thin potato mixture evenly, and brush the butter over the mixture.
  3. Put one slice of cheese and tomato slices covering the bread slice. Now put the other slice of bread potato side down over tomatoes.

  4. Grill the sandwich in griller till the golden brown and cheese has melted.

  5. Potato Sandwich is ready, slice them diagonally. Serve the sandwich with corinder chutney or tomato sauce.

Tips:

  • For a healthier version: Use whole wheat or multigrain bread instead of white bread. You can also reduce the amount of butter or ghee for a lighter version.
