  • 1/4 cup Corn Flour / Corn Starch
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Chilli Powder
  • Water as needed
  • Oil - for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Start by making the sauce. Heat 2 tblspn of oil. Add in ginger, garlic and chillies. Saute for a min.
  2. Add in onions, capsicum and saute for couple more mins.
  3. Add in salt, sugar and mix well. Add in all the sauces and mix well. Cook on a low heat till oil separates from this.

  6. Now heat the sauce again. Add in capsicum, cherry tomatoes and mix well and cook for a min.
  7. Add in the fried paneer and toss.
  8. Add in finely chopped green part of spring onion and mix well.
  9. Take small toothpicks, put the cherry tomato first then capsicum piece and then the paneer piece.
  10. Serve.

Tips:

  • For Extra Crunch: You can double fry the paneer cubes — fry them once, let them cool for a minute, and fry them again for a crispier texture.
  • Spice Level: Adjust the heat by adding more or less chili sauce, green chilies, or chili flakes based on your preference.
  • Vegan Version: Use tofu instead of paneer for a vegan version. Tofu will give a similar texture and absorb the sauce beautifully.
  • Make Ahead: You can prep the fried paneer bites and store them separately. When you’re ready to serve, just toss them in the sauce and serve immediately.

Chili Paneer Bites are a mouthwatering dish with crispy paneer and a spicy, tangy sauce that’s perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re making them for a party or a casual snack, they’re sure to be a hit! Enjoy!
