Tips:
- Tortilla Choice: You can use flour tortillas for softer, lighter chips or corn tortillas for a more authentic, crunchier texture. The cooking method is the same for both.
- Seasoning Variations: Feel free to experiment with other seasonings such as onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, or even Parmesan cheese for a cheesy twist.
- Storage: Store leftover chips in an airtight container for up to 5-7 days. They may lose a little crispness over time, but you can easily re-crisp them by baking at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes.
- Crispier Chips: For extra crispy chips, brush the tortillas lightly with oil instead of drizzling it, and bake them a little longer, watching carefully to avoid burning.
Serving Suggestions:
- With Dips: Perfect for serving with guacamole, salsa, cheese dip, or spinach and artichoke dip.
- As a Snack: Enjoy them plain or with a squeeze of lime for a refreshing snack on their own.
- With Nachos: Layer the baked chips with cheese and your favorite toppings, then bake for a few minutes to make nachos.
