Ingredients

For Kofta balls

  • 500 Gms Potatoes
  • 50 Gms Araroot
  • Salt (According to taste)
  • 1 tbs Green Coriander
  • 10-12 Cashew nuts (cut cashew nuts into 5-6 thin pices)
  • 30 Dry raisins (Remove stems)
  • Oil- To fry

For Gravy

  • 4 Medium size Tomato
  • 1-2 Green Chilli
  • 1 inch long baton Ginger
  • 1/2 cup Cream (100 Gms)
  • 2- 2 tbs Oil
  • 1/2 tbs Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 tbs Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbs Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 tbs Red Chilli
  • 1/4 tbs Garam masala
  • 3/4 tbs Salt (as per taste)
  • Green Coriander ( finely sliced)

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes, allow them to cool naturally and peel perfectly. Grate the potatoes and add salt and green coriander in it and mush it like flour. The mixture for kofta is ready.
  2. Put the oil into the pan and heat the pan. Take some amount of mixture and flatten it. Put 2 to 3 cashew nuts and raisins on it and close this. Make a round shape of it and put it into the hot oil. You can put 5 to 6 koftas into the pan at a time. Turnover the kofta and fry it properly until it turns brown. Take out the kofta in a plate. 

Gravy:

  1. For the preparation of tari, grind tomato, green chilli, ginger, cashew nuts and mix them well.
  2. Put the oil into the pan and heat the pan. Put coriander into the pan. when the coriander starts frying, put turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder into the pan. Then put paste of tomato, green chilli and ginger into the pan and fry them properly until it turns into granules. Put this masala into the cream and fry it until the oil afloat on the masala.
  3. Pour 1 and 1/2 cup of water into the masala. When the water starts boiling, cook it for 3 to 4 minutes for preparing gravy.

  4. While serving add kofta into the gravy and garnish it with coriander. You can serve and eat kofta with bread, chapatti, naan and rice.
