Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup aloo bhujiya
  • 1 cup curds dahi
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds jeera powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander dhania

Instructions

  1. Combine the curds, chilli powder, cumin seeds powder, salt and ¼ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well using a whisk.
  2. Add the aloo bhujiya and coriander and mix well.
  3. Serve immediately.

Tips:

  • Make it spicier: If you prefer a spicier raita, you can add a pinch of black pepper or a finely chopped green chili along with the other spices.
  • Vegan Version: Use plant-based yogurt (like coconut or almond yogurt) and ensure the aloo bhujiya is vegan-friendly.
  • Chilled Raita: Always keep the raita chilled before serving for the best flavor and texture.
  • Crunch Factor: To maintain the crispy texture of the aloo bhujiya, add it just before serving. If you add it too early, it may become soggy.

Serving Suggestions:

  • With Biryani or Pulao: Aloo Bhujiya Raita pairs beautifully with aromatic rice dishes like biryani or pulao, balancing out the spices and adding a cooling effect.
  • With Paratha or Chapati: This raita also makes a great side for stuffed parathas like aloo paratha, gobi paratha, or even plain chapati.
  • As a Snack: Enjoy it as a dip with poppadums or crisps for a crunchy snack.

This Aloo Bhujiya Raita is a refreshing and exciting twist on the traditional raita, offering a perfect blend of creamy yogurt and crunchy aloo bhujiya, making it a great addition to any Indian meal!
